How to add a coupon to your Facebook Biz Page! 


Do you have a coupon/first time client voucher/Gift Certificate on your Facebook page yet??

My previous blog was about the importance of getting a database set up in your salon/spa/business.  If you missed it, see it here

I am now going to show you how to start collecting emails of prospects that have never walked in to your business yet.

You will be able to form a relationship with them before they step in. They will LOVE you before they see you, EVEN if they were not referred by a friend. 🙂

You will need a Facebook business page to do this. You can not do this on your personal profile page. If you have been following me, you will already have one set up. 🙂 If not, go to and grab my 15 Must Do’s to catapult your business and set one up right away.

Once your Business Facebook page is set up, you will also need an email manager. If you don’t have one yet, the one I use is Get Response.

There are different ones, Aweber, Mailchimp…there are several. I am going to show you how to use Get Response, because that is the one I know. 😉

Even if you are just getting started and have NO emails in your database, do this. It will help you get emails from prospects that are thinking about coming into your business. 😉

Okay, lets get started. This is truly limitless on ideas that you can use for this. The photo above is what I use. I use $15.00 for my referral program as well. So, it made since to use that amount as my first time coupon/voucher.

  • It can be called a COUPON, VOUCHER, GIFT CERTIFICATE, FREE GIFT (It’s endless, what ever you want to call it)
  • IF you are a high end business, you may want to use the word Gift Certificate.
  • It can be a MONEY amount…$5, $10, $15, $20….again its up to you and your business.
  • You can make it be a FREE product with a $50 service (or any amount of services or any service)
  • A FREE Service with purchase of a Service.  (this could even work as a Mini service with reg. service)

As you can see, this can be ANYTHING you want it to be.  JUST MAKE SURE IT IS AN GOOD ENOUGH OFFER, THAT THEY WILL GIVE YOU THEIR EMAIL TO GET IT.  Pick what it is and make sure ALL of your staff know. 🙂 If you are a booth rent / independent contractor salon, be sure to ask ALL staff if they want to participate. You may have a stylist/staff or two who will not need to build clientele.

Once you decide what you want the offer to be, go to your email manager (Directions below are from Get Response) and start setting up your FORM. The form is your Opt-in page like mine above. People OPT IN with their email to get the “Offer”.



Once that is set up, be sure to set up your THANK YOU Page as well.

IMPORTANT: Add a 2 week expiration on the gift! You want people to use it right away. Add a statement on your Thank you page so, people know they need to use the gift 2 weeks from receiving it online. 🙂

Then add a autoresponder email series to build relationship with your prospect. This would be an email or two to introduce yourself and salon. It could be a menu with your services titled…”Decide how you will spend your Gift Certificate with us?” 🙂 Again, endless!

Future emails: Send this list emails that have your currant special offers you are running. If you have unexpected openings etc.

NOTE: Once you have it all set up on your Facebook page. Write a post and let people know to go grab it. 😉 You can also do an ad and promote it out to your community.
